Barba Amarilla or Bothrops asper is a venomous pit viper species that is found in Central and northern South in America. Barba Amarilla is also Sometimes referred to as the an ultimate pit viper. We can find this Barba Amarilla snakes in a wide range of lowland habitats, often near human habitations.

Due to Large and nervous, Barba Amarilla species is the main cause of snakebite incidents within its range. And no subspecies are currently recognized.

Description
These Barba Amarilla snakes are among the most sexually dimorphic of all snakes. The two sexes are born the same size, but at the age of 7 to 12 months, Barba Amarilla females begin to grow faster than the males. And the adults of Barba Amarilla have generally a length of 1.2-1.8 m, and the males never reach more than 1.95 m long. Barba Amarilla is also venomous snakes that can harm us.

Barba Amarilla usually inhabits in the tropical rain forest, and it's sometimes also found in the drier areas of tropical deciduous forest, thorn forest and pine Savannah near lakes, rivers and streams.
